Thread Inserts
What is...
Threaded inserts are mechanical components used to provide threads in materials that cannot be tapped directly or where additional strength and durability of threaded connections are required. They are typically cylindrical or helical in shape and are made from materials such as metal, plastic, or composite materials.
The main purpose of threaded inserts is to create a strong, reusable threaded connection in materials like plastic, wood, or soft metals where it may be difficult to directly tap threads.
